About the Program

The Health Care and Senior Facilities Mitigation Grant Program is designed to help individuals most vulnerable to the health effects of air pollution, such as children and the elderly. Under the Health Care and Senior Facilities Program, eligible applicants will be able to apply for two types of grants: Facility Improvement and Health Care Projects. Facility Improvement Projects are projects that directly reduce indoor air pollution. Health Care Projects are projects that identify, detect or diagnose pollution-related respiratory and cardiopulmonary ailments. Grant funding will be determined by location and size of population served. The Port will also consider experience and projects with an established track record of success. See the Port Mitigation Grant Programs fact sheet.
